In this session we will be discussing the highs and lows of calcium. Hypercalcaemia may be picked up while investigating a patient with PUPD, vomiting or weakness, while further investigating a patient with an anal gland mass or thoracic mass, however, may also be detected in routine pre-anaesthetic or geriatric profiles. Hypercalcaemia is a great marker, and a clear “game plan” is required to logically investigate the primary cause.
