Dr. Rob Webster

BVSc FACVSc
Rob graduated from University of Queensland in 2000, went into emergency medicine, and never left. Rob was a founding partner of the Animal Emergency Service in 2005, which now has 5 locations in Queensland and Western Australia and operates Brisbane’s Pet ICU. He completed residency training in emergency and critical care under the supervision of professor Steve Haskins and Dr Bruce Mackay and attained FANZCVS qualifications in 2014.

Rob then started a residency program at Brisbane’s Pet ICU, to continue professor Steve Haskin’s legacy of pushing the boundaries through training and clinical research. The first Pet ICU resident Dr Ellie Leister, has exceeded all expectations, forming strong networks with academic critical care teams at UC Davis and Murdoch University, as well as multiple collaborative research projects.

Rob’s dreams are to see tick paralysis eliminated as a cause of death of dogs and cats in Australia, and for Animal Emergency Service to be the place emergency vets come to save the sickest pets and build the future of emergency medicine and critical care.

Rob feels fortunate to have enjoyed a fulfilling veterinary career, and would like to support other veterinarians who share the same dream.
