Dr Jacqui Ley

Dr Jacqui Ley is a registered specialist in Veterinary Behavioural Medicine (Veterinary Psychiatry). She heads the Veterinary Behaviour Department at the Melbourne Veterinary Specialist Centre in her hometown. She is a fellow of the ANZCVS and a Diplomat of the European College of Animal Welfare and Behavioural Medicine. Her PhD in Psychology developed a model and instrument for assessing personality in dogs (MCPQ-R) which is being used in research worldwide. She has contributed to several books on veterinary behaviour, and written her own, The Veterinary Psychiatry of Cats. She regularly lectures around Australia and internationally. She also chairs the Delta Expert Advisory Committee for Delta Institute overseeing the development of their state-of-the-art dog trainer course. Underpinning all of this is a busy home life with too many dogs, a couple of cats, several horses, a goat, and a blended family.
