About the webinar
Seizures in dogs and cats are significant events that affect not only the brain, but other major organ systems as well, including the cardiovascular and respiratory systems. As a result, nursing care is crucial to ensure good patient outcomes. Veterinary nurses play a critical role in recognising, managing, and supporting animals experiencing seizures, as well as providing ongoing patient care. This lecture will explore what causes seizures, as well as how to recognise and implement immediate nursing priorities and monitoring strategies in the patient with status epilepticus. In addition, we’ll discuss how to provide long-term support for patients with seizure disorders, ensuring you are well prepared to provide effective, and evidence-based care.
