The use of cannabidiol – or CBD – in dogs and cats in increasing, owing to reported benefits in a wide range of diseases, including management of pain and inflammation associated with osteoathritis, management of some skin disorders, and even the management of canine cognitive disorder, among many others. In this episode of Vet Synapse, we speak with veterinarian Dr. Jennifer Sandford, from PetCann, about the endocannabinoid system that exists in mammals, and what makes exogenous CBD such a useful therapeutic agent.
