Lecture Description
Aggression is a leading cause of the relinquishment of dogs to shelters and is the most common presenting complaint to Veterinary Behaviourists. Like any medical problem, the first step is to understand what is happening and why. With behaviour problems, this means determining the motivation for the performance of the behaviour. This lecture will discuss how clinicians can understand the dog’s motivation for the behaviours, review differential diagnoses, and discuss the three main components of a behavioural treatment plan.
