About this Lecture
About this Lecture
Spinal trauma can result from a wide range of injuries, and is usually co-existent with significant polytrauma. The evaluation of neurological deficits, neuro-localisation, and subsequent stabilisation of the spinal cord are key components that prevent further cord injury, as well as facilitate neurological recovery. This special lecture will focus on how to approach these patients to help establish these goals, as well as how to grade the spinal injury, when surgery is indicated, and how to apply non-surgical methods of stabilisation.
