About this Lecture
Pain and inflammation go together like morning and orange juice – – like peanut butter and jelly – – like, well you get the idea… The point is that inflammation leads to pain which can then in turn amplify the inflammation, and the white fat associated with overweight and obesity is an “inflammation machine”! It is absolutely our obligation to advocate on behalf of beings who cannot speak for themselves, and that advocacy MUST include advocating to reduce inflammation and pain. That, in turn, means stepping up to have the “hard conversations” with our clients about the role of white fat in making their pets miserable and shortening their lives. This evening will be devoted to providing you with ideas and takeaways to help transform fatness into fitness among your patients.
