Birds carry a higher anaesthetic mortality and morbidity rate than domestic pets, such as cats and dogs. While there are many ways to help reduce this risk, emergencies will unfortunately happen. Being prepared with equipment, emergency drugs and doses and the knowledge to use them can mean the difference between life and death.
