In this program, we will review all aspects of fluid analysis from sample submission to cytologic evaluation. The cellular response and underlying pathologic process will be emphasized. Cases will be used to demonstrate the range of cytologic features for specific diseases. This program will be predominated by microscopic features of different types of cells in effusions.
