About this Lecture
About this Lecture
In the past 2 years, there has been some advancements in our accessibility of up to date information to help manage heartworm infections in both dogs and cats. This lecture will remind you of relevant background information about heartworm biology, accounting for its behaviour in both dogs and cats, as well as its mosquito vector. We will then update you on the current risk landscape of heartworm in Australia, and provide a few tools to help you prevent and diagnose this disease in practice.
